Executive Programs
Professor Emeritus at INCAE Business School in Costa Rica and professor at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid. He was a research professor at the Universidad de los Andes and Harvard University; he has also been a visiting professor in Japan, France and Spain. He studied industrial engineering at the Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia), has an MBA in business administration from IESE in Barcelona, an M.S. in social psychology and a Ph. D. in organizational theory from Northwestern University (USA).
He has published 30 books on intercultural negotiation, strategy, organizational leadership and management of civic organizations, all focused on the Latin American reality. His publications in Harvard University Press, his "Manual de Planificación Estratégica", and "Cómo negocian los colombianos" (How Colombians negotiate) stand out. He has been the Director of Academia Revista Latinoamericana de Administración since 1999. He is an active researcher in the areas of intercultural management, negotiation, careers, management of social enterprises, and organizational strategy.
