Professor Emeritus of INCAE, Nicolás Marín, a native of Nicaragua, specializes in the areas of banking, finance, international business and corporate strategy, and has been a consultant and director of industrial, banking and financial companies in the United States and Latin America.
He is the author of more than 50 cases and publications and co-author of several books, including: Strategic Investment Analysis and Mergers and Acquisitions in Practice.
In 2013 he was nominated for Business Professor of the Year in the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) of The Economist magazine.
Nicolás Marín is a full professor at the faculty of INCAE in the areas of Finance and Strategy. His academic and research experience has been concentrated in the areas of finance, international business and corporate strategy. Professor Marín received his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus on international finance from Harvard University and holds an MBA from Tulane University. Previously, he studied industrial relations at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico. He is a consultant and director of industrial and financial companies in the United States and Latin America.
