Professor Lawrence Pratt, from the United States, holds a Master's degree in Public and Private Administration from the Yale School of Management. He graduated from the College of William and Mary (Williamsburg, Virginia, 1987), with an AB in Economics.
He is a full professor at INCAE, where he teaches courses on sustainable development and sound business strategy, both environmental and social, in the Master's Programs of INCAE as well as in the Executive Education Programs. From 2009 to 2015 he was Director of the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development (CLACDS) of INCAE, having served as Associate Director of the Center since its founding in 1996.
Prior to joining INCAE, he worked at the Environmental Law Institute where he worked with governments and the private sector in Latin America and the U.S. to find ways to strengthen the business sector's commitment to improving environmental and social development through the formulation of national and state policies, as well as increasing awareness of opportunities to strengthen competitiveness. Previously, he worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency - designing and implementing non-regulatory strategies to improve the environment and public health.
