Executive Programs
A German and Swiss national, Silke Bucher is the Dean of Faculty and Research and Associate Professor at INCAE Business School with a specialization in Organizational Behavior and Leadership. After completing her Master of Science in Business Administration at the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, Germany, she obtained her Ph.D. in Organizational Change from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. She completed her post-doctorate at the Chair of Strategic Management in Pluralistic Environments at HEC Montréal, Canada. She was a team leader and expert consultant for organizational culture at McKinsey & Company, Costa Rica. Her research to date has focused on organizational change and inter-group collaboration, with a particular interest in the health sector.
Prior to joining INCAE Business School as an Associate Professor, Silke Verena Bucher gained international experience working in different countries including Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada and Costa Rica. She is a post-doctoral fellow in the Chair of Strategic Management in Pluralistic Environments at HEC Montréal, Canada, and obtained her Ph.D. from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
She worked as a team leader and expert consultant for organizational culture at McKinsey & Company, and as an internal consultant at Gardena International, Germany, with a focus on process improvement.
Until now, his research has focused on organizational change and collaboration among groups with a particular interest in the health sector. She did longitudinal studies on change initiatives in hospitals, and worked as a coach for interprofessional teams. Her motivation is to make organizations increasingly better places to work, with the ability to deliver sustainable excellence in services, products or impact for society more broadly. His work has been published, among others, in Organization Science and Organization Studies.
