This is the first and most important ingredient of self-confidence. And it is not easy to achieve. We often put ourselves "in line" in "our loves". Sometimes we are afraid that we might love ourselves too much and appear or become selfish or self-centered people. And yet, people who love each other are cheerful and optimistic, they feel good about themselves and the people around them are eager to be with them.
The way you think about your life will have a decisive influence on your self-confidence. The difference between an optimist and a pessimist is what each one chooses as the center of their thinking. And from there is your attitude. And you choose it. As Viktor Frankl said, it is our last freedom that no one can take away from us.
Put the brakes on negative thoughts and let them rest and concentrate on the positive ones so that they flood you with optimism and joy.
It is not clear that the principle that "everyone is good" is real. And if it is, we don't have time to meet everyone. We have to select. So, get close to those self-confident people and learn from them, AND stay away from the toxic ones, those who are always complaining and don't contribute anything.
We are all exposed to our environment and consciously or unconsciously we are influenced by it. There are negative influences in the media, in opinion leaders, in friends, in relatives, in people who do not like your progress. There are immobile, mediocre and complainers who will try to make everything black for you so that you will join them. Get a vaccine against this unhealthy pessimism that sometimes, or often, appears around us.
Although it is true that we are in a competitive world in which we feel that we cannot all fit, it is important to consider our life as a "zero-sum game". There are always exits to other games when you feel that in the one you wanted to play you feel that "all the fish is sold". I like to say that "everyone in life runs a race that does not have to be the race run by others or by the majority".
