INCAE Business School was prominently represented at the Council of the Americas Symposium 2024, with the participation of its rector, Enrique Bolaños, who shared his vision at the afternoon panel entitled: "Central America: Investing in the Region's Digital & Physical Infrastructure." The event, held at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel, brought together more than 500 regional business leaders, including CEOs and presidents of some of the most influential multinational corporations in Latin America.

The Council of the Americas Symposium has become a benchmark of leadership and vision for Latin America, bringing together visionaries and business pioneers from across industries. This year, participants provided a broad and deep snapshot of the region's business landscape, with an emphasis on the key challenges and opportunities facing Latin American economies in an era of accelerating digitization.

In the afternoon session on infrastructure investment in Central America, Enrique Bolaños shared space with prominent leaders: Ramiro Ortiz of Grupo Promerica, Guy Nae of Google Cloud, Tomás Bermúdez of the Inter-American Development Bank and Enrique García of Cementos Progreso, under the moderation of Alejandro Romero, Global CEO of LLYC. The panel addressed critical issues, from digital transformation to the development of the physical infrastructure that supports regional growth.

"Central America's digital and physical infrastructure is fundamental not only for the region's growth, but also for its competitiveness in a global environment," said Rector Enrique Bolaños during his participation. "From INCAE, we are committed to continue training leaders to drive these transformations, ensuring that Central America moves towards a sustainable and inclusive model of development."

In addition to the symposium, the evening culminated with the presentation of the prestigious BRAVO Business Awards, which this year celebrated their 29th edition. These awards, presented at a gala dinner, recognize excellence and outstanding leadership in business and politics in the Americas. This year's honorees represent a select group of visionaries whose leadership and commitment are shaping Latin America's business future on the global stage.

The participation of the president of INCAE in the Council of the Americas Symposium reaffirms the institution's commitment to the development of the region and its role as an agent of change, training leaders who contribute to a more integrated and competitive Latin America.
