On August 22nd, INCAE Business School celebrated in San Salvador a commemorative event for its 60th anniversary, gathering more than 200 guests in a memorable evening at the Intercontinental Hotel. The ceremony was attended by businessmen, government representatives, graduates, collaborators, and the National Committee, the Rector's Advisory Council and the Board of Directors of INCAE.

Mrs. Alexandra Araujo de Sola, President of the National Committee of INCAE in El Salvador and member of the Board of Directors.
The event highlighted the presence of Rector Enrique Bolaños Abaunza, Mrs. Alexandra Araujo de Sola, president of the National Committee of INCAE in El Salvador and member of the Board of Trustees, and Mr. Francisco de Sola, active director emeritus of the Board of Trustees and a key figure in the history of INCAE. Referring to this important date, Rector Enrique Bolaños underscored the relevance of this occasion: "This 60th anniversary marks a milestone in the history of INCAE, which has evolved from its beginnings as an educational project to become an engine of excellence and change in the region. Over the years, INCAE has been a pillar for the formation of leaders who positively impact their communities. Incaístas Currently, 15% of our master's students come from El Salvador, and more than 1,800 Salvadorans are applying their knowledge in key sectors of this country and the region".

Dean Michele Quintano
During the evening, attendees heard remarks from Deans Bernard Kilian and Michele Quintano, as well as Ms. Wendy Rodriguez, Director of Institutional Advancement of INCAE, who in a very special moment presented a tribute to Francisco (Chaco) R.R. de Sola, who received the evening's recognition for his legacy and contribution to the founding, mission and development of the institution.

Wendy Rodriguez, Institutional Advancement Director of INCAE
"Francisco de Sola son, whom we all know as "Chaco", shared with don Chico that broad culture, and inherited the same distinguished appearance, but above all, his commitment to INCAE, where as Enrique said, he is a member of the board of directors already for 4 decades. Probably don Chico's greatest talent, inherited in Chaco, and the whole family, has been his ability to enlist the support of others for his causes, the first of which was always INCAE", he mentioned.

This commemoration in El Salvador marks the third in a series of regional events commemorating the 60th anniversary of INCAE. Activities will continue throughout the rest of the year in countries such as Guatemala, Peru and Costa Rica, where other events will be held to recognize the trajectory of graduates and the impact of those who have contributed to the growth of the school.

INCAE thanks the sponsoring companies that made this evening possible: Autofácil, Aeroman, BAC, Banco Azul and Galvanissa.

In September 1963, prior to the official founding of INCAE, an administrative office was opened in San Salvador, which served as a starting point for the expansion of the institution in the region. In 1965, El Salvador hosted the Senior Management Program (PAG III) with 47 executives, 13 of whom were Salvadoran. Francisco de Sola, known as "don Chico," was a visionary leader who, as the first President of the Board of Directors of INCAE, brought together leaders from all over Central America to establish the foundations of what is today a globally renowned school.
