Tegucigalpa, Honduras - On November 13, 2024, INCAE Business School closed the commemoration of its 60th anniversary with a significant event at the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) in Honduras. The activity brought together members of the Board of Directors, members of the National Committee, allies, donors, faculty, graduates and friends of INCAE, consolidating a year of commemorative events throughout the region.

 

 

Camilo Atala, outgoing president of the Honduras National Committee and member of the Board of Directors of INCAE, kicked off the event with an emotional welcome message. "It is a real privilege to be here sharing with the Incaísta family of Honduras on such a special occasion," said Atala. He highlighted the challenges that the institution has faced over the years and the transformational impact that INCAE has had in the formation of leaders. "Continue to be bold, be ethical and never lose sight of your commitment to your country. Honduras needs your leadership, creativity and passion," he advised the graduates.

 

 

The new president of the National Committee of INCAE in Honduras, Aline Flores, also addressed a few words to those present, stressing the importance of the academic excellence of INCAE and its impact on the region. "It is an honor to take this position and see how INCAE, with almost 20 thousand professionals trained, has contributed to the development of Central America," she mentioned. "INCAE is a center of thought and training that continues to educate future leaders to build a more competitive and better country."

 

 

The rector of INCAE, Enrique Bolaños, highlighted in his speech the legacy of the institution and its ability to adapt and innovate over six decades."INCAE has been a beacon for business education in Latin America. Today we celebrate not only what we have achieved as an institution, but also the achievements of each of you, our partners, graduates and friends," he said. "We are building on a solid foundation, with our sights set on an even brighter future."

 

 

During the ceremony, awards were presented to important business groups led by incaístas. The Nasser Foundation and Grupo Terra were honored for their commitment to the mission of INCAE. Maria del Carmen, Federico and Miguel Nasser accepted the recognition on behalf of the foundation. "INCAE presents this recognition to the Nasser Foundation for its commitment to the mission of INCAE on its 60th anniversary," read the plaque.

 

 

Grupo Financiero FICOHSA was also recognized for its historical support of INCAE. Camilo Atala received the award, which recognized the group as the largest corporate partner of INCAE in the last two decades.

 

 

The evening concluded with a presentation by Professor Arturo Cruz, followed by a cocktail reception where attendees were able to share their experiences and reflect on the trajectory of INCAE. "Today we see an active and committed Incaísta community in Honduras, and that gives us hope to build a better country and a better region," concluded Wendy Rodriguez, director of Advancement and master of ceremonies of the activity.

 

 

 

This event in Honduras closed a year of commemorations that highlighted the resilience, excellence and commitment of INCAE to the formation of leaders in Latin America.
