  • INCAE invites you to celebrate women's business empowerment in Honduras.

In the framework of International Women's Day, tomorrow, Friday, March 8, INCAE Business School, Pricesmart Foundation, Cargill and the Cortés Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCIC) are proud to invite you to an event to celebrate female entrepreneurship empowerment in Honduras. The celebration will take place within the framework of the "Empresarias Progresando" (EMPRO Honduras) program, under which Honduran women entrepreneurs are growing their businesses thanks to the knowledge and skills they have acquired.

The event, which will be held at the CCIC facilities, will begin at 8:30 a.m. with participant registration, followed by a warm welcome by CCIC General Manager, Carla Pantoja, and EMPRO Honduras Manager, Gracia M. Barahona. We will highlight the achievements of the EMPRO Honduras program with a presentation by the Director of CLACDS, INCAE Business School, Ronald Arce, followed by inspiring testimonials from Thelma Garcia of DiCarne and Francis Castillo of The Baking Mom, both EMPRO Honduras graduates.

At 9:50 a.m., we will be honored by the presence of Carla Fernandez, Professor at INCAE Business School, who will deliver the presentation "Transforming Businesses with Artificial Intelligence". This talk promises to provide innovative ideas and valuable insights into the future of business.

The keynote speech will be followed by a commercial exhibition and business roundtable, offering unique opportunities for networking and collaboration between businesswomen, entrepreneurs and business leaders in the country, including representatives of national banks with whom INCAE has made strategic alliances.

EMPRO Honduras is a program designed to empower Honduran businesswomen by providing them with training, mentoring, and access to financial resources to strengthen their businesses. During 9 months, 35 women entrepreneurs received training from members of the faculty of INCAE and local and international experts, culminating with the presentation of their business plans before prominent businessmen and bank officials in the country.

This event is a testament to the continued commitment of EMPRO program partners to promote gender equality and support women's business development in Honduras.
