In an era of change, organizational leaders must raise their hands and adapt to it in order to achieve optimal leadership.
This is when "Centered Leadership" appears, a model presented by the strategic consulting firm McKinsey, considered by many to be the most appropriate example of leadership for times like the present.
This model was developed following a survey of 84 women leaders, a clear example, in commemoration of International Women's Day, that women are a fundamental part of large companies.
Five key values make up this model and bring success to everyone who applies it, men and women alike who embrace change, are flexible, have a desire to lead and are good communicators, both in small settings and on large stages:
Leaders must show strength. They wake up in the morning with the desire to change the world and have a purpose to strive for and always maintain a cheerful attitude in the face of the challenges ahead.
They must assume a proactive role in their positions and with their subordinates, have ownership, take risks and adapt to change. Their proactivity teaches them over time to be optimistic about results.
Ability to connect and network with their projects and companies; they understand the concept of reciprocity, they give without measure, they offer without measure and that usually leads them to receive without measure. They are inclusive, they understand that in this way there is a better management of their groups.
They have the ability to quickly look for a positive frame in the face of negative situations. Their tendency is not to dwell on the problem, but to look for solutions. They learn from their mistakes and do not lag behind... They turn the page, learn and move on!
They are aware of themselves, of what gives them energy, of what allows them to work at their highest level and also of those things that detract from their energy, that do not allow them to think positively. They are constantly restoring positive energy and manage the energy in their teams in a masterful way.
