A region with an entrepreneurial attitude constantly raises its productivity and improves the efficiency of its operations. Therefore, increasing the number of entrepreneurs in a region naturally increases the region's competitiveness. The trial and error of entrepreneurs allows the discovery of new ways of doing business and new competitive advantages for the countries that make up the region, which would otherwise be useless or ignored.
Foreign direct investment brings growth to Latin American countries, not only because of the taxes it brings to the country, but also because it raises the technical and administrative level, that is, it contributes with learning to increase the competitiveness of the region and not only as a way to generate income. Entrepreneurs are the people who dare to create companies or improve processes based on the learning that foreign companies contribute with their operation.
Social inequality is reduced with a good education system. However, this can take 20 to 30 years to be forged. An alternative that challenges a country's inefficient education system is the self-educated attitude of entrepreneurs. People who decide to start a business are self-educated and have the possibility of renouncing clientelism, reducing unemployment and offering a better future to their children.
Entrepreneurs improve their living conditions, health and employment. They help reduce crime because they find a way to survive without harming others. They become a multiplier agent for their family and the people around them.
Entrepreneurship is about more than just making a profit, it is about developing initiatives that benefit society. These social projects gather resources and develop a sustainable idea that improves the basic needs of people at the bottom of the pyramid. Generally, social projects are developed by successful entrepreneurs who identify with the difficult situations experienced by marginalized families. However, there are social projects that aim to rescue human values to counter corruption, gender discrimination, racial discrimination, mistreatment of animals and violence in general. The value of an entrepreneur lies in his or her passion to progress and multiply solutions in a sustainable way.
Latin America is currently a very fortunate region. World powers with high-income economies support the development of industries such as tourism and services, for example. These types of industries represent significant percentages of the total income of many countries in Latin America. The duty today is to take advantage of the good times and develop stable economies that can survive recessions or crises in the future. Entrepreneurs are the people who take this challenge to innovate and create, they promise a better future for society.
