The Costa Rican businesswomen who are taking the LEADS ACADEMY FOR WOMEN 2022 program, carried out by the Center for Inclusive and Sustainable Leadership (CELIS) in partnership with Coope Ande, successfully completed the third stage of the training program, which consisted of attending the Walter Kissling Gam Campus at INCAE for a week to receive training in communication skills and present their acceleration project before a specialized jury.

The jury was responsible for evaluating them and selecting the 3 most outstanding projects to receive a monetary award of $3,000 from Coope Ande and two winners of a full scholarship to attend an open program at INCAE Business School.

The businesswomen who received awards for their projects were:

  1. Marbeth Venegas, owner of Melones del Sol.
  2. Paola Quesada, owner of Nairí
  3. Maria Carolina Ramirez, owner of Be Free
  4. Daniela Terán, owner of Bosque
  5. Paula Solis, owner of All Immerse

However, for CELIS and Coope Ande, they are all winners of the individualized follow-up that they will receive from now on from mentors for the implementation of their acceleration projects in the coming months.

"On this occasion we had the opportunity to have companies from sectors such as Health, Agriculture, Services, Textile, Distribution, Construction, Services, among others, from 6 of the 7 provinces of the country, with impressive projects that we hope will inspire new generations of entrepreneurs throughout the country," said Gabriela Lucke, director of CELIS.

Alexandra Márquez-Massino Rojas, general manager of Coope Ande, said: "This initiative provided important support to a group of women entrepreneurs from all over the country, so that they could receive important training for the acceleration and growth of their businesses. This opens up endless opportunities for each of them, not only for the materialization of their dreams, but also for the impact they will have on their families and communities. Coope Ande contributed here a grain of sand to fulfill our mission, which is to improve the quality of life of all our associates and their families".
