The Entrepreneurship Center INCAE together with INCAE Business School is proud to announce the opening of the application period for the INCAE Entrepreneurs Award (IEA) 2023. The initiative that for the past 7 years seeks to support and train Latin American entrepreneurs who are transforming the region with their innovations and creativity.

Those selected will have the opportunity to participate in a unique learning experience provided by the faculty at INCAE: INCAE Labs, the exclusive 8-week accelerator workshop. Throughout this intensive program, participants will develop their entrepreneurial skills, receive mentoring from experts in the field and strengthen their networks in a collaborative, high-impact environment.

A drive for business success

INCAE Labs has consolidated its reputation as an exceptional space for the learning and growth of entrepreneurs, founders and entrepreneurs.
The latest edition of the IEA favored ventures with very varied approaches. Unicodemy, the winning startup in the Pitch category, focuses on the education of STEM skills that are in high demand in the female population; Imake is a Colombian company that offers a technological solution to SMEs so that they can implement Human Development strategies; and ClearLeaf develops agrochemicals with formulations that protect the environment, crops and public health.

This year, participants will also receive comprehensive training in crucial areas such as business strategy, finance, marketing and leadership. In addition, networking among entrepreneurs will be encouraged and synergy among the various projects will be promoted.
Funds for growing ventures

Places for the INCAE Entrepreneurs Award 2023 are limited, so we extend a warm invitation to all interested entrepreneurs to apply as soon as possible. To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • To be Latin American entrepreneurs with vision and passion for innovation.
  • To have a committed and diverse work team.
  • Have a validated working prototype that demonstrates the potential of your idea.
  • Preferably, to have a formally constituted company.
  • Possess a technology-based and exponentially scalable business model, or be an SME in the process of implementing an innovative project.

The 10 best qualified companies certified by INCAE Labs will have the opportunity to participate in the Sales Pitches competition of the INCAE Entrepreneurs Award in person in Panama. In front of a jury composed of investors, professionals and members of the Entrepreneurship Center, the finalists will present their projects. The two best companies will be awarded with non-refundable funds to boost their businesses:

  • Pitch Category! - $2.500
  • Launch Category - $7,000
  • SME Category - $3,000

Important Dates and Deadlines

The application period will be extended during the month of August, with a registration deadline of August 31, 2023. Entrepreneurs who meet the participant profile can complete the application form and consult more information on the program's website. The workshop is scheduled to begin next September. The finalists will be announced in November.
