In order to strengthen the financial knowledge and skills necessary for the development of business plans and business growth, Honduran beneficiaries of the Empresarias Progresando Program, EMPRO Honduras will receive private mentoring sessions from Banco Atlántida executives. This agreement represents INCAE 's fifth collaboration with Honduran banks.
For Banco Atlántida this alliance means an important contribution to businesswomen and entrepreneurs, as we consider them to be a very important asset for the development of our economy and society; therefore, as a financial institution we have a clear purpose to continue promoting their growth and future, said Lucy Sauceda, Executive Vice President of SME Commercial Banking.
The main objective of these mentorships is to adequately prepare women entrepreneurs in the process of obtaining financing, which is often fundamental for executing growth and diversification plans.
These mentorships take place during the final phase of the Program, after having received training for seven months, during which time the participants received classes from members of the Faculty of INCAE, as well as from national and international experts on topics such as product marketing, brand management, productivity enhancement, financial management, competitiveness, corporate governance, among others. The businesswomen also had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the financial and non-financial services offered by the national banking system, specifically two programs currently implemented by Banco Atlántida.

The Bank's collaboration will extend to the Program's closing event, the so-called Business Roundtables, where the entrepreneurs will present their growth plans and receive personalized feedback. Two business rounds will be held, one in Tegucigalpa and the other in San Pedro Sula, on June 14 and 15, respectively.
EMPRO began in October 2022, and is managed by INCAE, with financing provided by the PriceSmart Foundation and Cargill.
The signing of these agreements was attended by Lucy Sauceda, Executive Vice President of SME Commercial Banking, and Gracia María Barahona, Manager of the EMPRO Honduras Program.
