They returned to wear cap and gown, to experience the thrill of hearing their name in front of an audience, and most importantly to remember that life-changing moment when they conquered the goal of being Incaístas several decades ago.

Seven representatives from MAE VI and 16 from MAE XVI were present at the tribute. They came from different parts of the region to share and celebrate this important milestone in their academic and personal lives.

Among the honorees was our rector, Enrique Bolaños, who was celebrating his 50th anniversary as Incaísta and today has the responsibility of guiding this business school to continue to stand out among the best in the world, for the quality of professionals it trains and its transformative vision in society.

"I take this opportunity to greet and welcome the class of MAE VI, where our current rector Enrique Bolaños graduated, who has left a wonderful mark of impact on the entire region over these 50 years, and the class of MAE XVI with whom I shared the opening of this campus in the first semester of 1984," were the words of Roberto Artavia Loría, president of the board of directors of INCAE, at the beginning of the graduation ceremony.

"Today with 40 and 50 years of graduation, and most importantly, with decades of impact on investment, employment generation, innovations and trade throughout the region, welcome and thank you very much for having been all this time the main actors of our institutional mission," added the chairman of the board of directors.

As part of the tribute, these Incaístas with accumulated youth and the valuable treasure of experience, paraded in front of the audience and received their certificate in the same way as decades ago. At the end of the ceremony and in keeping with the excitement of the new generations of graduates, the MAE VIs also decided to throw their birettas in the air as a symbol of joy.

"For us it is an honor to have them here."

After the tribute during the graduation ceremony, the Career Development & Alumni Experience department of INCAE prepared a special lunch where those present shared and recalled the countless anecdotes they experienced when they were students.
