A few days ago, the world's leading business publication, Financial Times, released its annual global ranking for 2022 for EMBA (Executive Master in Business Administration) programs.

In the highly-rated ranking, INCAE Business School is ranked 59th, climbing 20 places compared to last year's ranking. This means that for the seventh consecutive year it is ranked among the top 100 EMBA programs in the world. In 2022 it also remains number one in Latin America.

Financial Times relied on data provided by the business schools themselves, as well as information provided by alumni who completed their program more than three years ago. In the case of INCAE, its graduates rated their alma mater a 9.18 out of 10 in overall program satisfaction.

Sustainability, a cross-cutting theme in the EMBA of INCAE

Among the different indicators considered in the ranking (such as quality of academic research, evolution through objectives achieved, gender balance, international diversity of students and professors, evaluations of professional services and salaries), two strategic aspects that INCAE has taken special care of in its EMBA stand out: the focus on sustainability in all subjects, as well as its academic and operational excellence.

In relation to sustainability content, INCAE ranked 50th in the world, reflecting the consistency and alignment of its institutional and academic strategies.

"All professors - explains Camelia Ilie, Dean of Executive Education and Strategic Innovation at INCAE- have been incorporating cases, readings and simulations that consider some of the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) aspects in the decision-making processes, and this effort was highly valued by the Financial Times."

Leading by transforming

The Rector of the institute, Enrique Bolaños Abaunza, emphasizes that "the central purpose of the Executive MBA at INCAE is to develop leaders capable of competing globally and contributing from their organizations to the sustainable development of their countries".

Camelia Ilie adds that "the program has a unique team of professors trained at the best universities in the world and is taught in a blended format -online and face-to-face- including international training experiences in partnership with leading schools in North America, Europe and Asia; refresher programs for graduates focusing on innovation and business growth in Germany, the United States and Singapore; personal development and life-long learning plans, and exclusive networking activities through the INCAE Executive Club portal".

Bernard Kilian, Dean of Faculty at INCAE, concludes: "The news of INCAE 's position in this impartial and highly respected ranking fills us with pride and reflects our focus on academic excellence that places us on a par with the best business schools in the world".
