The current context, marked by the global health crisis caused by COVID-19, confirms that the mission of INCAE is more relevant than ever: INCAE Online will bring the best quality education to all countries in the region.

INCAE Business School, the leading business school in Latin America according to the prestigious Financial Times ranking, has begun to develop and market with EMERITUS, a global leader in digital education, a portfolio of high quality and relevant open programs and specialized online master's degrees for executives and their companies in the region.

This initiative is part of the strategic relaunch that INCAE began several years ago in order to remain at the academic forefront and to continue promoting the integral development of Latin America, as established in its mission since its founding in 1964 by Harvard Business School. With this same purpose, INCAE has signed collaboration agreements with the best business schools in the world, including Harvard Business School Online, MIT Executive Education, Yale University, Cornell University, Michigan University, the University of Virginia and Babson College in the United States; as well as Mannheim Business School, ESCP Europe and Esade in Europe and CKGSB Graduate School of Business in China.

With a campus in Costa Rica and another in Nicaragua, INCAE has trained more than 17,000 students in its full-time and executive master's programs. INCAE 's portfolio of training programs also includes open and corporate programs to meet the professional growth and development needs of Latin American executives.

"For us it is essential to stay at the forefront, offering more and more relevant training options with better accessibility for the greatest number of people. We have partnered with EMERITUS to offer companies and their executives a wide range of sophisticated online training programs that will allow thousands of executives from any country to access the best online management offer with a focus applied to the reality of Latin America," says Enrique Bolaños, Rector of INCAE Business School.

Created in 2010, EMERITUS has taught courses to more than 50,000 participants in 160 countries thanks to the innovation and academic excellence of its more than seventy programs in partnership with the best academic institutions in the world, including Harvard Business School, Columbia University, MIT Executive Education, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, University of Cambridge, London Business School, Berkeley Executive Education, INSEAD, IESE Business School and Kellogg School of Management.

"For all of us at EMERITUS, it is a great honor to work with INCAE. We are very happy to know that our first master's degree programs will be developed by professors from this respected institution in conjunction with our pedagogical team. We want to contribute to specialized business education in Latin America and we know that INCAE Online is the ideal way to achieve this," said Dr. Allan Fisher, Academic Director of EMERITUS.

The INCAE- EMERITUS alliance marks a milestone in online executive education programs in Latin America. While INCAE focuses on developing frontier courses with the highest academic rigor and with an emphasis on the Latin American reality, EMERITUS brings its extensive experience in online curriculum design and technological infrastructure to ensure the best learning experience.

In the words of Dr. Camelia Ilie-Cardoza, Dean of Executive Education at INCAE and leader of the project: "The portfolio of programs and master's degrees we are launching in the coming months is centered around topics related to globalization, competitiveness, innovation, digitalization, big data and analytics, and women's leadership and development, among others. The central objective of creating the INCAE Online brand is to increase the impact of our mission for the comprehensive development, progress and sustainability of Latin America as a region." Professor Ilie added: "As of June 2020, INCAE will start offering online certificates in the aforementioned subjects and the Master in Marketing and Customer-Driven Digital Transformation will be INCAE Online's first master's degree, which will be launched in September of this year."
