  • INCAE deeply regrets the closure of its Francisco de Sola campus in Managua, Nicaragua.
  • The institution continues to operate normally from its campus in Costa Rica.

INCAE Business School, a leading educational institution in the region, regrets the decision published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Nicaragua, number 172 of September 25 of this year, regarding the cancellation of the legal status of the Central American Institute of Business Administration (INCAE Business School) in Nicaragua, which affects the operation of the Francisco de Sola Campus in this country, an essential part of the history and cradle of the institution.

This decision has been received with great surprise and deep sadness by the community Incaísta, professors, students, graduates, collaborators, donors and members of society in general, aware of the value of the quality education provided by INCAE in our region.

Enrique Bolaños, Rector of INCAE, shares with us that: "INCAE in its almost 60 years of foundation, has been faithful to its mission of actively contributing to the sustainable development of Nicaragua and the region, standing out with a transformative and cutting-edge education with a positive impact on the economy, society and the environment ".

The community deeply deplores this decision, considering, moreover, that in the course of all these decades, the Nicaragua campus graduated more than 4,000 Incaístas who work creating value in public and private organizations in different countries. It is worth mentioning that since 2018, the campus operated only with its administrative offices and since that date all academic programs were moved to the campus in Costa Rica.

Regrettably, the forced closure of our campus in Nicaragua is due to reasons that do not reflect our institution's commitment and dedication to academic excellence and the positive impact we have in all the countries in which we operate and develop activities.

INCAEis a globally competitive business school, recognized and ranked among the best in the world, with participants from more than 15 countries, that will continue with its purpose of transforming lives in Latin America for a better future. The institution will continue to develop its regular training and research activities at the Walter Kissling Gam campus in Costa Rica and will continue to work tirelessly to fulfill its purpose.

INCAE thanks all the members of the Incaísta community for their dedication and support throughout these years, as well as their solidarity in these difficult times.
