  • After graduating from her master's degree, Valeria fulfilled another of her dreams; to work for a technology company with an international focus.

By Career Development & Alumni Experience. The Luis Poma Forum at INCAE is the stage where hundreds of professionals have seen their academic goals come to an end. One of them is Valeria Ochoa, who heard her name called and proudly received the title of Master in Analytics, Innovation and Technology (MAIT).

Having this title in her hands is the result of hard work, sacrifices and desire to excel. She left her native Ecuador for Costa Rica with doubts, full of dreams and with the hope that all the effort and plans she had were going to boost her professional career.

After her time in the classrooms of the Walter Kissling Gam campus, she not only acquired new knowledge, but also friendships that will last a lifetime and a new perception of leadership and innovation that will accompany her in all her work challenges.

Fellowships and their impact on change

This proud Ecuadorian recalls that since school she always had access to financial aid; thanks to this, little by little she has been climbing up the professional and labor ladder.

"In my family on both sides I was the first one to have a third level degree and now a master's degree... None of what I am talking about would have been possible if it were not for the help of the scholarships. This time was no exception, although I put all my savings, I had to access credits, but the scholarship issue was transcendental to study at INCAE", she emphasized.

Valeria's career goal was to work in a technology company with international reach. After obtaining her master's degree, she obtained the position of Global Logistics Sourcing Analytics Manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a position she holds from Costa Rica.
